These notes explain what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data means any data that can identify you personally.

How do we collect your data? Either because you provide it (e.g. via the contact form), or automatically when you visit the site (technical server logs such as IP address, browser type, time of access).

What do we use your data for? To provide and secure the website, to handle your enquiries, and where required to meet legal obligations.

What rights do you have? Among others: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and the right to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

3. Retention

Unless a more specific period is stated, personal data is retained until the purpose of processing no longer applies. After a deletion request or withdrawal of consent we delete the data unless legal retention duties require otherwise.

4. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted on servers in the EU/EEA region (including Infomaniak / related SGA platform infrastructure). When pages are requested, the web server stores information in log files (e.g. IP address, date/time, URL, user agent). Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a stable and secure website). Logs are usually deleted or anonymised after a short time unless longer retention is needed for abuse prevention.

5. SSL/TLS encryption

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in the address bar and the lock icon in your browser.

6. Contact form and email

If you send enquiries via the contact form, we process the data you enter (name, email address, optional phone number, message) and technical anti-spam signals (e.g. captcha result, form fill timing, IP-based rate limits) to handle your request and prevent abuse.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to pre-contractual or contractual steps; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in effective communication) or Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR where consent is obtained.

Messages are delivered to the contact address stated in the legal notice and may be processed via the SGA platform email infrastructure (Stalwart and/or delivery fallback). We do not pass data to unrelated third parties for advertising.

Data is retained until you request deletion, withdraw consent, or the purpose ceases (e.g. after your enquiry is fully handled), subject to mandatory retention laws.

If you contact us by email, phone or fax, we process the resulting personal data to handle your request on the same legal bases.

This website does not use tracking or marketing cookies. Technical measures (e.g. server-side captcha sessions without a permanent browser cookie) may be used for spam protection. You can disable cookies in your browser; static content still works.

8. Google Fonts

For consistent typography this website may load fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser may connect to Google servers (USA), which may learn your IP address. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or consent where requested. More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy

9. YouTube embeds

Some pages (interviews/videos) may embed YouTube content. Playing a video connects to YouTube/Google and may process personal data (e.g. IP address). See Google/YouTube privacy information. Only start videos if you agree to that connection.

10. Your rights

Under applicable law you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Austria, the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at).

Withdrawal of consent: You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
