All processes in our body have a reason. Everything that happens inside us happens with intention. But why do we actually sweat when we are afraid?
The sweat glands respond in the conflict-active phase with increased sweat production and subsequent cell growth. This state persists as long as the conflict continues to be active and the functional increase (increased sweat production) has not contributed to resolving the conflict. We notice the main symptoms only in the repair phase, after the conflict has been resolved, when the sweat glands swell slightly.
This stretches the overlying skin, which can cause mild pain on touch. This is followed again by a purulent cell breakdown process, which is perceived as a pimple. This can be manually emptied outward or broken down independently from within.

In nature, this “unable to escape” situation can only occur when one is held by an enemy. The direct sweat production can make one more slippery in this emergency situation, so that one can more easily escape from the hold.
In today’s world, when we find ourselves in a situation from which we cannot get out, this emergency program starts and stimulates the sweat glands to produce more sweat.
Examples: “court hearing,” “a speech in front of many people,” or similarly threatening situations. We should observe ourselves when we produce “fear sweat” (What are we afraid of, would we most like to flee from the situation?).
A sudden outbreak of sweating, without conflict connection or heat, occurs at the turning point of the two repair processes: at the deepest point of vagotonia. From that point onward, things improve again. This period is also called the epicrisis. As a rule, however, it does not last longer than 45 minutes.
